Qurkx actually started as a fun project just to get some fame on the internet. To be very honest with you all, I (Rishabh Jain) still smile looking back at how this whole idea popped into my head! 😅 But as I dived deeper into the blogging world, the motive became crystal clear: I wanted to upgrade my own tech skills, and side-by-side, give you guys some total WOW! moments. 🚀
Booking My Own Identity 🌐
As I started blogging daily, collecting knowledge, and sharing it with the community, I realized that a custom domain is the real deal for search engine visibility. So, I didn't wait. On 21st June 2011, I proudly registered my very first domain and laid the foundation for what would eventually become Qurkx. Apna khud ka domain! 😎
With readers coming from all over the world, the josh (excitement) was high. I loved designing the site, so I started experimenting with CSS to make it look beautiful. Being a newbie, my design sense back then was completely wild and maybe a bit desi, but I was learning every single day to make it better.
The Hustle, The Jugaad & The AdSense Dream 💸
Traffic was booming, and eventually, the thought of monetization hit me. I mean, who would say no to earning some money for their hard work, right? But the road wasn't smooth. Back then, I loved being the Robin Hood of the internet—sharing software and tools for free. My traffic was through the roof, but Google AdSense doesn't bless dirty hands with its holy water! 🙈
So, I tried some jugaad. I started using URL shorteners, basically forcing everyone to wait and click "Skip Ad" just to view my viral content. The money started rolling in, but honestly, it was barely enough to cover my evening chai and samosa. ☕
Then, I met a friend and literally bought an AdSense account from him. Was it strictly legal? I had no idea! 🤷♂️ But he promised it worked. That was the day my happiness had no limits. The money started rolling in properly. The day I received my very first AdSense cheque in the mail... yaar, kya feeling thi! Pure magic. ✨
The Glow-Up: The Qurkx Era 🖥️
Years passed, I grew up, and so did my coding skills. I finally got rid of the heavy themes, flashy colors, and giant logos because, let's face it, they weren't exactly easy on the eyes anymore.
Today, Qurkx looks simple, elegant, and lightning-fast—exactly what you guys want. Everything is decent, fresh posts are popping up daily, and people love browsing through the collection without any annoying pop-ups or visual clutter.
